What are YOU excited for this weekend?

Personally, I want to see Percy Jackson and the Lightening Thief!

I have no interest in seeing Valentine's Day. I can't be the only human on this planet who's sick of Love Actually type movies. (Especially after She's Just Not That Into You was such a bummer!)

How do you spell, "meh?" U-P!

Up had it's good points... they were... uh.... um.... I liked the characters and the acting... except SOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOO predictable.

Stephanie rules!

Because she's the ONLY ONE who follows my movie blog.

The Philadelphia Story

I don't like Katherine Hepburn. So, already this movie has one strike against it. But I love James Stewart and Cary Grant! Do these not cross out the fact I hate Katherine Hepburn? Apparently not.

This movie is all over the place. It's a lot like His Girl Friday, (also staring Cary Grant,) but not nearly as good.

The movie starts with Grant choke-hitting his wife, Hepburn. They divorce. Years later she's marrying a nice young man we'll call Mr. Boring. Her dead-beat, alcoholic, loser father appears for the wedding and chews Hepburn out. He blames his adulterous nature on HIS DAUGHTER. He claims if she loved him more, he'd be a better father. And she sobs and apologizes. I'm sorry, but... WHAT?

Then Hepburn gets real drunk and fools around with poor Stewart. It turns out that nothing "serious" happened, but Mr. Boring takes off anyway. And Hepburn turns down poor, hopeful Stewart.

Then Hepburn remarries her first husband, Mr. Abuse, ie: Grant.

This movie should be banned.

The Sad Crack Movie

Also known as... The Lovely Bones.

Pro: Peter Jackson makes beautiful movies.
Con: Peter Jackson makes long movies.
Pro: The acting was good.
Con: Too many crack-dreams!

I mean, really, as Gold Five says, "Stay on target."

Also, I've decided I hate sad movies. After I got home last night, and tried to sleep, I decided, "no more sad movies!"

This movie gave me a sad taste in my mouth that didn't go away until morning... well, I wasn't very happy in the morning either. (But that might have been because I had to ride my bike in the rain.)
