I had a housemate who watched Momma Mia and just walking by it made me hurl. ;) It seems like a lot of musicals have truly crappy music, and people eat them up anyway. It makes me go, whaaaaaaaaaaaat?Boonhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/15707750093050492383noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-7973742200704242428.post-79602665232342482792013-05-07T20:23:26.396-07:002013-05-07T20:23:26.396-07:00Scary! We saw Rock of Ages and it was the worst thing I have ever experienced. People try to make musicals by throwing a bunch of songs together and then hashing out some bogus really stupid plot. I don't know how they get away with it!! (Momma Mia, I'm looking at you too!)

I would agree with most of your list, but I'm not super thrilled with "Cats" or "Dream Girls"... and I like "The King and I" a lot. Also, I know you Turners have a distaste for "Wicked" but I really like it. Lastly, I think I do consider G&S plays musicals. I like them, especially The Pirates of Penzance. jamie hixonhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/11809292948395197113noreply@blogger.com
